Being a private chef in the lake district is the best job i have ever had , Not only do i get to cook using some of Cumbria's finest locally sourced produce i get to meet some really lovely guests too. Whilst the food is a massive part of every private chef or catering booking realfood chefs wouldnt be in the top 3 without our attention to detail and the 5 star service that we bring.

We booked Marcus to cook for us in our holiday cottage to celebrate my 60th birthday. We had an excellent choice of menu and the food that came was absolutely fabulous. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and the food was plentiful. Marcus was very friendly and chatted to us between courses which was lovely. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to book him again for a special occasion

We were trying to find a private chef as we were staying in the lake district.

Marcus came to the holiday let we were staying in (Windermere) to cook for my Dad’s 60th birthday. I’ve never used a private chef before and would only use Marcus now - that’s how great it was. Communication from Marcus was clear and proactive, we didn’t make any changes to the lovely menu but wouldn’t have felt that it would have mattered if needed too. We fancied a bit of a break in between courses which Marcus was happy to enable (we had a 4 year old in tow, so this helped massively!) The lamb was superb and if I could eat the sticky toffee pudding for every meal until the end of time I probably would! Was great to have Marcus with us - thanks for a great evening. Would recommend 100% - great food, great quality and reasonably priced

Marcus cooked an amazing dinner for 18 adults whilst we were staying in a holiday house in Coniston to celebrate a family birthday. Marcus is a very friendly, fun and polite person, making us all feel relaxed whilst remaining extremely professional. Communication with Marcus was excellent throughout, from him taking the booking, planning and to the evening itself. He cooked us a fabulous 3 course meal, as well as setting the table and cleaning up afterwards.

Marcus is a very talented chef and we’d definitely recommend him.

We had a fantastic night with friends when you came to cook.

It was a much more relaxed evening for me hosting our guests having you guys take care of everything organising the food for the meal, the cooking, even refilling the water jug and cleaning down the kitchen. The food was amazing and we loved how you and your lovely assistant just mingled into the party and basically did all the hard work while we sat back and enjoyed the evening. You will be back ! Marcus was fantastic. Excellent communication beforehand, a wide menu to choose from and perfect on the day. He arrived with a gorgeous bunch of flowers for me (a big birthday + Mother's Day!), and cooked canapes and a 3 course meal for 18 of us - everything was delicious and generous portions all round! Gracie was an excellent waitress and the kitchen was left spotless afterwards. Marcus is friendly and really easy to get on with; we would book him again without hesitation.

Absolutely amazing food and Marcus is so lovely. Contact leading up and on the day of arrival was fabulous and he couldn’t have done more for us on the night - truly delicious and we were so full, a really great treat!!
